Dilapidation Surveys are a visual assessment of the condition of a structure, road or asset at a point in time. High Resolution Photographic, video and 3D data are captured as a record of the condition of an asset.
This information is prepared as a report to reference for future condition assessments. The report notes, but not limited to condition of walls, kerbs, footpaths, road surfaces, services, cracks, distortion, water damage and subsidence.
Dilapidation Surveys are typically undertaken prior to construction work involving demolition and excavation as this work can sometimes result in damage to adjoining structures/assets. A dilapidation survey undertaken prior to construction will document asset condition and can be referenced should a liability claim arise. A dilapidation survey can help resolve disputes and mitigate responsibility for indirect damage to adjoining assets.
